PIt may depend on when the High Blood Pressure (HBP) showed up. In my case I was treated for High Blood Pressure for more than 10 years before the Diabetes show up. Could it have been related, sure....

High blood pressure does NOT cause diabetes. So, no, you can not get diabetes as secondary to HBP. However, if you are A/O presumptive, then it can be S/C, with or without high blood pressure.
